    How does it unlock, and what if one method fails?
    Three independent ways in. Fingerprint: a semiconductor sensor storing up to 20 prints. Keypad: a 6-digit PIN, with up to 20 sub-passwords so household members can have their own codes. Mechanical key: a keyed lock cylinder with 2 physical keys in the box, for the day electronics are not an option. No single point of failure.
    How reliable is the fingerprint sensor, really?
    The numbers, published: first-try rejection rate under 1%, meaning it reads a registered finger 99+ times out of 100. False acceptance rate under 0.002%, meaning a stranger's print gets in fewer than 2 times in 100,000 attempts. Capture takes under half a second, matching under a second. And repeated failed attempts trigger an error alarm instead of a quiet retry.
    What happens if the power goes out?
    The safe runs on wall power with a 1200 mAh lithium backup battery inside, and switches over automatically, good for about 7 days of standby. It recharges over USB-C, warns you when the battery runs low, and if everything electronic is somehow down, the mechanical key still opens it. Three layers before you're ever locked out.
    Can my kid open it?
    The sensor accepts registered fingerprints only, at a false-acceptance rate under 0.002%, and repeated failed attempts set off an alarm. The body is thickened cold-rolled steel. No safe replaces teaching your kids the rules, and we'd never claim otherwise, but this is exactly the job it's built for: ready for you, locked for every other set of hands in the house.
    Do I need an app?
    No. Fingerprints, PINs and the key all work standing alone, set up on the unit itself in minutes, and nothing about opening your safe ever depends on your phone, an account or a server. There is an optional smart-app integration for those who want it, but it is exactly that: optional. Skip it entirely and you lose nothing that matters at 3am.
    How many fingerprints can it store?
    20. Save each finger you might realistically use, both thumbs and both index fingers, plus your partner's, and you're still nowhere near the limit. Add up to 20 sub-passwords on top for household members.
    What powers the charging station?
    The same wall connection that powers the safe. The top pad charges phones at up to 15W (with 10W, 7.5W and 5W modes), plus 2.5W watch charging and 3W for earbuds. One plug behind the nightstand replaces the cable pile on top of it.
    Can it be secured in place?
    Yes. It comes with a steel security cable that locks the unit to something fixed, a bed frame, a closet rod, heavy furniture. A safe that can be carried off is a delay, not a barrier, and the cable is what turns it into an anchor.
